Serra Mariola Natural Park

Description

Serra Mariola Natural Park lies between the regions of L'Alcoià, El Comtat and La Vall d'Albaida, occupying an area of 17,000 ha, spanning across part of the municipalities of Alcoi, Cocentaina, Muro, Agres, Alfafara, Bocairent and Banyeres de Mariola. The park is highly treasured by its inhabitants, mainly due to the use of its natural resources in today’s culture. 

Font Roja Natural Park

Description

Font Roja Natural Park is located between the municipal boundaries of Alcoi and Ibi, occupying an area of 2,298 ha.  The park is very dear to the neighbours of these two towns. The highest point in the park is the Menejador summit with a height of 1,356 m. 

The vegetation is very well preserved, with Holm and Valencian oak forests, in addition to the important flora that accompanies it.

Chera-Sot de Chera Natural Park

Description

Chera-Sot de Chera Natural Park is a 6,451 ha space where visitors can delve right into nature. It is one of the most emblematic territories in the Region of Valencia, and it is not surprising as it possesses environmental, scenic and sociocultural resources of special relevance and interest. This protected area is located in the northwestern part of the province of Valencia, between the regions of Plana Utiel-Requena and Los Serranos.

Sierra Calderona Natural Park

Description

Sierra Calderona Natural Park is on the right bank of the Palancia River.  Here you can contemplate one of the most characteristic nature reserves in our territory. Its rocky surroundings are formed by ravines and slopes that offer visitors incredible views. The Gorgo (907 m) and Garbí (601 m) peaks are also worth highlighting, as they are ideal for mountain sports.

Penyagolosa Natural Park

Description

Penyagolosa Natural Park is located between the administrative territories of Vistabella del Maestrat, Xodos and Villahermosa del Río. This landscape is composed of a mountainous massif that is home to one of the highest peaks in the Region of Valencia "El Penyagolosa".  With an elevation of 1,814 m, it is known as the roof of our territory, only surpassed by El Alto de las Barracas (Cerro Calderón).
